Rich fuchsia silk sets the scene for an elaborate arrangement of flowers and scrolling foliage, with ivory, green and blue details. Painted by hand on mulberry silk satin, this scarf has a luminous finish and a fluid drape that softens its bold colour. No two are identical, because no two are painted the same way twice.
At 105 × 105 cm it is large enough to wear as a silk wrap — let it fall over a simple black dress as the focal point of an evening outfit, or drape it over the shoulders for a wedding guest or mother of the bride look that needs colour without a jacket. The generous square offers ample room to enjoy the artwork, finished with neatly hand-rolled edges.
At 16 momme this is the heaviest silk we carry. It falls with weight from the shoulder and holds colour deeply. Worn at the neck inside a coat it closes the gap a collar leaves open — silk is a natural insulator, and at this weight it adds warmth without bulk.
