How to wash silk cashmere blend knitwear?

Silk Cashmere blend is naturally fibre that does not get dirty easily. However if you need to wash it and find dry cleaning inconvenient, you can wash it by hand or with a wash machine on gentle cycle.

To wash a silk cashmere sweater, you can follow these general guidelines:

  1. Hand washing: Fill a tub, sink, or large vessel with lukewarm water. Add a gentle, cashmere-safe detergent and mix well. Submerge the sweater and gently swirl it for about a minute. Allow the sweater to soak for up to 30 minutes. Drain the water and rinse the sweater thoroughly with cool water. Avoid wringing out the sweater to prevent damage to the fibres.
  2. Machine washing: It is generally recommended to hand wash silk cashmere sweaters. However, if the care label permits machine washing, use a silk/delicate cycle with cool water wash and rinse.
  3. Drying: After washing, gently squeeze out excess water from the sweater without wringing it. Lay the sweater flat on a clean towel and reshape it to its original dimensions. Allow it to air dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

Please note that these are general guidelines, and it’s always best to refer to the care instructions provided by the manufacturer or consult a professional cleaner for specific advice on washing your silk cashmere sweater.
